MISSION STATEMENT

Municipal Court's primary function is to process all Class C Criminal charges filed by the Police Division, Animal Control, Fire Marshals and Code Enforcement Officers alleged to have occurred within the territorial limits of the City of Texas City. These include charges filed under the Texas Transportation Code, Penal Code, Alcoholic Beverage Code, Health and Safety Code, Education Code and Texas City Code of Ordinances.

Hours:
Texas City Municipal Court working hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Except Holidays)

Window Hours:
Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Phone Hours:
Phone lines are answered between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

General Payment Information:

Payments must be made in person or by mail. We except cash, money orders, cashier checks, and credit cards (visa or master card).

Failure to Respond and Answer Citations as Required by Law May Result in Any One or Several of the Following:

  1. The issuance of a warrant of arrest at an additional  fee.
  2. Referral of the unpaid fine to a collection agency.
  3. Denial of renewal of your driver's license by DPS  and be assessed additional fees.
