My Gov. Going live November 13, 2017; Contractors please follow the link to register your credentials. Once registered on My Gov you’ll be able to request a permit, make payments and request your inspection, as well for seeing the results of your inspection. For Smart phone devices/iPad/tablets there’s an App you can download.

ATTENTION: Inspection Requests

Effective October 16, 2017, Inspection requests made via email should be sent to the following address:  Inspections@texas-city-tx.org.  The following information is necessary to process your request:  Permit #, Project Address, Inspection type, 1st time inspection or re-inspection.


Effective October 1, 2017, please use the Electrical Permit Application for electrical work performed within the City of Texas City. Electrical permit fees no longer apply. However, building permit fees are still assessed and due prior to the issuance or permits.
