Spring Events
Texas City Annual Art Festival
The City of Texas City hosts an Annual Juried Show & Student Art Show in April. We begin with and Opening Night Reception engulfed with live musical entertainment and social. We also offer a free four-day public viewing with artistic performances from Texas City Independent School District nightly. This event is held at the Charles T. Doyle Convention Center 2010 5th Avenue North.
If you are an experienced artist or if you are just getting started, we encourage you to enter you work into the Juried Show (Must be 18 years or older).
In addition to our Art Show, Texas City will also be hosts various workshops/demonstrations for the duration of the show for both children and adults.

Texas City 1947 Disaster Memorial Service
Annually the City of Texas City reflect on the past, give thanks for the present and hope for a bright future as we honor and pay respect to those whom we lost in the 1947 disaster. The Memorial Service is held every year on April 16th at 9:00 am at Memorial Park.

City Wide Easter Egg Hunt
The City Wide Easter Egg Hunt is an annual event hosted at the Carlos Garza Sports Complex each year prior to the Easter Holiday. It provides a fun and exciting experience for children 10 and under as they celebrate the Easter Holiday. From face painting, moonwalks and free snow cones to of course an egg hunt, there is fun for everyone.

Cinco de Mayo Festival
The City of Texas City takes pride in offering festival cultural events to celebrate the heritage of our diverse community. We celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a parade and festivities. The City collaborates with the Texas City Ballet Folklorico Mexicana organization to provide entertainment, education and fun for the whole family. This event is free to the public and includes vendors, a kid's area and much more!
Summer Events
Juneteenth Festivities
Texas City Hosts a slate of events to celebrate Juneteenth and the African American heritage of the community. Annual the City hosts a Gospel Fest, Golf Tournament, Poetry Night and Social as well as the Charles Brown Juneteenth Celebration. We offer something for the entire community to enjoy.

Summer Concert/Movies Series
Come out and join the summer fun! Texas City offers both Movies and Concerts in the park that is free to public and full of enjoyment. These events are offered during the summer from June to August.

Independence Day Concert & Fireworks
Family, Fireworks and Fun! Texas City displays patriotism through its streets and parks during the Independence Day Holiday. We host an annual parade at 10am and celebrate with live musical entertainment at 7pm at Bay Street Park with explosive fireworks to end the show. Texas City…Red, White and Blue!
Fall/Winter Events
Halloween Haunted House & Fun Night
The City of Texas City offers a spooktacular and exciting event for our citizens and surrounding communities to celebrate Halloween. This event provides activities for ghosts and goblins of all ages and includes outdoor games, moonwalks, a haunted house and costume contest

Texas City Rotary Club Veteran’s Day Salute
Each year the Texas City Rotary Club and the City of Texas City collaborate to honor our nation's veterans. A ceremony is held at the Rotary Pavilion in Nessler Park, with live entertainment, guest speaks and more to honor those who have fought for our country’s freedoms.

Father & Daughter Dance 
Few of life's relationships compare to a father and daughter. From the first time she grasps his finger, to the day he lets her go, their bond deepens. To celebrate and honor this important relationship the City of Texas City Recreation Department host an annual Father/Daughter Dance at the Charles T. Doyle Convention Center in February.
Come out for an evening of fine dining and dancing. We will be doing the conga dance to line dances again; father and daughter of all ages will have a great time this year. Tickets will go on sale after Christmas.
